The dissolution of earthly body going from dearly departed to the stage of "from dust you came and to dust you shall return" is a process breaking down order and shape and meaning. That is one reason that tidy burial grounds - well laid out and well maintained - give some comfort to visitors. By seeing constancy there is the illusion of order and stability; a rebuttal to the slow dissolution day by day.

Before the #TrumpConvictedFelon disaster the funding for building a new elementary school called for swapping places: the current school will be demolished for playground use and the current soccer fields and baseball (adult kickball, too) fields will be the location for the new school buildings.

As the evening light fades minute by minute, the handful of visitors in the distance finish up their grave visit with a walk around the cemetery. Two children use the opportunity on this low traffic pavement to pedal their bikes.

According to construction plans and now the sign of the first stakes placed by surveyors, the 1920s school and its playground will be leveled to make way for new sports fields and the new buildings will rise to the left of this photo where the present sports fields are.

Suicide Bomber Birds

Spruce Grouse trying to get inside. Way back we decided on 4mm Glass for the outside pane because of our kids playing ball around the home, but never figured birds would be more dangerous. They have broken four windows in the past and broken the seal on a few more.
We tried with predator silhouettes, but they don't work on grouse. These chickens fly like torpedoes or bombs with their short wings. We even had some crashing into the outside walls.
Talk about bird brain.
