The Android runtime in BB OS 10.3 is based on a modified Android OS 4.3 (Jelly Bean). Blackberry removed all Google services from the runtime and replaced them with a Blackberry specific counterpart. The following components have been removed or replaced by Blackberry: Google Account Manager -> Replaced with Blackberry Account Manager

Connected to BlackBerry Link, ignored the message that says "please disconnect your device, finish initial setup then reconnect", went into options and restored software. Couple of hours later, hey presto, a fully functional Z10.

Greetings. Due to the BBW situation, can no longer put off upgrading the Z10 from 10.2.1 to 10.3.3. As far as can be discerned, the 10.3.3.2163 version supports WFC. So can anyone point to working download links for the latest working autoloader links for this device; as well as the best, foolproof instructions for upgrading? Thank you in advance!

Hi, i'm facing a new problem with my unlocked BB Z10: Since yesterday (after a security wipe) no SIM is detected by the Z10, regardless which carrier. I cleaned the sim-tray, security wiped the OS again and reinstalled it. It simply states "Sim not detected". Network, Network subset, Service provider are Unlocked.

Because you have the STL100-1, that Z10 uses the Texas Instruments OMAP 4470 processor. Not the Snapdragon S4 Plus that the other 3 Z10 models got. That's why you are stuck with the 10.3.2 build you're on now. When BlackBerry made the 10.3.3.xxxx OS, the -1 was left out and never got it. You can't force it either, it just won't load.

So yesterday morning when I unplugged my Z10, which had been running 10.2.0.1371 flawlessly since it dropped, was showing the BB10-0015 (Corrupt filesystem error). Of course my heart dropped. Link couldn't fix it, but re-running the 10.2.0.171 autoloader brought it back.
