Darwaza-i Rauza (o Porta Principal / Great Gate), és l'accés principal al complex del Taj Mahal en Agra, l'Índia.
És el majestuós portal d'entrada que connecta el pati de benvinguda (Jilaukhana) amb els jardins interiors (Charbagh) i el famós mausoleu de marbre blanc del Taj Mahal. Construïda principalment en gres vermell amb intricades incrustacions de marbre blanc. Segueix l'arquitectura mogol caracteritzada per la seva simetria, arcs apuntats (pishtaq), petites cúpules decoratives (chhatris) en la part superior i minarets a les cantonades.
Les vores de l'arc central estan decorats amb versos de l'Alcorà elaborats amb incrustacions de marbre negre, dissenyats específicament per a crear una il·lusió òptica d'escala uniforme des de la base fins a la part superior.

This shot is from 16-10-16, ten years ago today. Here is also a different frame from the same viewpoint and sunrise morning published previously.

Focused and exposed for the Taj and sunrise and shot at ISO 100 for the highlights. On the other hand opening the darks means a lot of noise and softening, and 1/125 shutter speed was a little too slow perhaps; but then, they fortunately weren't the fastest either :)

The positioning and moment are so exceptional that all combined for me the pros outweigh imperfections and in my original post i asked "how do you think?", which seems very nicely answered by the amount of likes and comments. Thanking you all kindly, much appreciated!
